We are living through a time of transition. Old structures are shifting, and new ones are not yet fully formed. Ancient Future Gathering is a four-day meeting point for the people building what comes next: artists, scientists, elders, entrepreneurs and musicians, working from very different starting points toward the same horizon.
It began as a collaboration between community organisers in Vienna, Slovakia and Budapest, rooted in the idea that connection serves this moment better than separation, and cooperation better than competition.
Not a new world to talk about, but fragments of one to actually live, here and now.
What we are creating is a hybrid: part festival, part retreat, part working session. Four unhurried days on a quiet lake in Hungary, with room for a conversation to finish properly, for an idea to be turned over slowly, for a fire to be sat by without anyone needing to perform around it.
Ancestral wisdom sits next to systems thinking. A storyteller's evening sits next to a founder's talk. Music and shared ritual are part of the days, offered rather than assumed, for whoever wants them close.
